Lawn Boy Sensa Drive Troubleshooting

Any idea where I can find a digital service manual to repair my Lawn Boy 10685 Sensa Drive. Love the mower. Cuts nice and starts easily but, alas... the years have begun to catch up with it. Sensa Drive is making a 'grinding' noise and and the drive seems to be partially engaged all the time. When I pull the mower, the rear wheels simply slide on the grass. I suspect a bad belt and/or perhaps it needs adjustment. I lost the hard copy manual in a move. Again... love the mower. Don't want to have to buy a new one or take it in to service. I can probably fix it with the right resources. Thanks, Paul

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

SOURCE: The front wheels on my lawn mower have locked

on yours you must replace the entire tranny unit - to make it roll you can remove the front wheels and remove the small gear on both sides - doing this of course will turn it into a push mower not self propel

Similar thing happened to me and it seemed to be nothing more than a completely clogged air filter. When replaced it was fine.

In the back of the mower...probably under the seat, there should be a lever to release the transmission, or it is on the back plate. As far as the noise when trying to move drive the mower, the brake in the back, next to the transmission is jammed, use a 1/2 inch wrench to loosen it maybe 1/4 turn and this should unlock the brakes

SOURCE: The front wheels on my lawn mower have locked

I had this same issue. In my case, the sheild that keeps the dirt out of the gears in the wheel has gotten broke and the gears filled with junk and jammed the wheels. I just have to take the wheels off and blow the junk off the gears.

If you are getting spark, it should run, usually safety switches connect to ground out the coil to give no spark.

The needle and seat are bad in the carburetor. You need a tecumseh part 631021barterjoe_2.jpg and it might be recommended to get a service manual. They are inexpensive at a shop like www.arcolawn.com
good luck
