Question about JVC AV-56WP74 56" Rear Projection HDTV-Ready Television
Noticed a blue shadow on the screen, especially around letters. Performed auto converg. and noticed blue cross three times thicker than red or green. Went to manual converg. and could not get it adjusted out. A day or so later the convergance went way out as to have wavy lines and distorted picture. I replaced the convergance chips (purchaced directly from panasonic) thinking this would fix all. I ohmed out all low ohm resistors while board was out. All checked very close or right on value. Capacitors looked OK. After converg. board re-installed , did auto converg...took care of wavy / distorted picture but blue shadow still there. Cleaned lens on guns and looked at fluid and appeared clear. Tried to adjust focus of gun by rotating it...no luck. It is as if the blue gun is being over driven. I looked at the second level of service menu but do not know if it is adjustable from the menu or even If I should try it from this angle. Is it possible to swapp the green and blue gun leads on the converg. board to see if the problem moves? Will this hurt anything? Any suggestions , help, PRINTS...anything would be appricated Thanks Gmann
