If you don't know the password, you will need to make an BIOS reset. You must open your laptop, and find the internal battery in the motherboard. Take it off, for 10 seconds, without any power cable or battery on. After that, put the internal battery in his place, and turn on your laptop. It must open the BIOS without password needed.

SOURCE: Satellite A215-S7416 Bios Password

First of all i'll need to know what type of laptop it is,because different laptop has differents ways of reseting the BIOS. You can open the laptop and just take out the battery for a couple seconds and put it in back ( make sure that the power os unplugged before opening.) If the laptop has no battery then you will have to download or get a manual for the laptop hence then its going to tell you to touch 2 jumpers in order to reset the BIOS.

You don't need to access bios to change boot drive just hit escape key a couple of times when you power on and it will give you options for which drive to boot from.

SOURCE: how do i locate the hp probook 4520s BIOS password jumper on the motherboard

The 6930p uses the HP Sparekey method of password recovery. The owner sets a password and then completes hints to retrieve it in case it is lost.

They can also register the password with HP and upon providing proper proof of ownership, HP will provide the password the owner registered with HP.

So, if a person can't remember the password or the password hints, they can get it from HP.

If the password wasn't registered, or you are not the original owner, there is nothing you can do to retrieve the password, or clear it.

You will need a new motherboard, or you can strip the notebook for parts (except for the motherboard, which is useless as it is).

Last but not least you can install the Operating System again and this will by pass the Windows password. That would be my option instead of using the computer for a door jam or throwing it out. Just get a System restore disk or another Operating System disk upgrade to Win 7 good software for a laptop.

My packard bell dots won't accept my password

You can remove or change the Window's User or administrator's password. You need access to a computer with Internet access to download the Hiren's Boot CD and burn it onto a CD. Then insert this CD into the laptop/computer and boot up the laptop/computer with the Hiren's CD and follow the instructions. There are very useful utilities CD and it a Linux boot CD which contains quite a lot of Utility programs including a password removal program. Click on one of these links to download HIREN'S BOOTCD :-

I have a packard bell desktop computer and i would like to make it boot from cd 1st so i can fix my windows

you need to change boot order in your bios. when you boot check at bottom of screen to see what you need to press to enter bios, you may need to fast. It will probably be F1 or F2 or delete. once in bios got to boot order and put cd drive first.

I can not get into a password protected, Hewlett-Packard (G62) laptop. An employee left the company under bad terms and would not give us the password. How can I get in and unlock the computer?

Unless you have a "hack CD", the only other way is to "reimage" the laptop. In other words, insert an operaing system CD and turn it on and hit "F12" until it asks you if you want to boot from a CD/DVD, it will give you options on where to boot from as well, select DVD drive. Then when the operating systems set up menu appears, annd you are on the page that has the hard drive letters (e.g.- C:\ ; D:\ and so on select a drive (anyone will do) and then goto the bottom and select "driver options" and basically you want to fromat\delete all the drive partitions(partitions=different letters)

The solution will offer many approaches to resolving a BIOSpassword you need removed.

1. Using a Backdoor BIOS password

Although manufacturers change these passwords with newerreleases of hardware, it's worth trying these passwords first before employingmore time-intensive methods.

When I turn on my packard bell computer on it comes up with a black screen saying "Boot from CD / DVD" and a BIOS password?

Remove the battery on the motherboard to restore default settings.
check the connection to your Hard drive (the system is not seeing it)
The battery removal will take care of the password, and you will be able to get in the BIOS.

good luck and don't forget to vote!!!

Forgotten the password , without it coputer wont boot

Sounds like you have set a password in the BIOS. If you have forgotten the password then you will need to reset the BIOS settings to their default. This is usually done by setting a jumper on the motherboard. You are going to need to get your motherboard's manual and find the BIOS Reset jumper switch. Once you set this jumper properly, the settings in the BIOS will be reset to their default values.
