Question about Refrigerators
My KGU30605GB/02 is not working right. The fridge is alright, it works as per the temperature set and the fun works. But the problem is on the freezer. Sometimes it freezes and sometimes not. I have it set up at -20 and put a thermometer inside. It doesn't cope if plenty of food and temperature rises. Now is almost empty and temperatures move from 3 degrees to -14 with no rule at all. I've checked the fan in the freezer and it seems well for me (working when the magnet on the top of the door activates the magnetic switch). I've taken the panel that holds the fun and the evaporator is cold and without ice. I put the freezer in SUPER mode but there are no changes. It's like if the compressor couldn't cope with the freezer. The compressor is all time working and the left bottom side of the freezer is quite hot outside. The compressor is hot too. As the fridge is ok, Do you think it could be the use valve or it has lost some gas?

hopefully you looked out back ...rear lower panel and checked little white condenser fan running...it really needs too to keep temp stable across the condenser coils and no overheat condition to the compressor.hopefully you wont need the $300 circuit board like I just bought

If the refrigerator is on, and keeping the door open, then it will damage the compressor and all other working parts.Because all parts will run more harder to cool the refrigerator, but because door ios open the cooling will be lost out.
The compressor is approx $220 for part .

Again recharging the Freon is possible, but the cost for that
recharging is approx the cost of new compressor. So its always advisable to get
compressor replaced.Because new compressor has warranty for few
years.. --------- This
