Question about Garden
I have an older JD 160 that sat for many years. I replaced the battery, all belts, fuel line, fuel & air filter, spark lug, rebuilt the carb, and all new intake gaskets. Starts right up and runs great. The problem is, when I drive in first, it drives fine, 2nd gear has a very slight surging when driving, 3rd gear seems to surge bad, 4th is slight like 2nd, and 5th has no surge. It acts like the governor has issues, but I checked and adjusted it and it seems fine. The surging is more like a bucking and I cant figure it out. I have been working on small engines for 20 years but this has me stumped. Any ideas? Please!
