Yes thats a problem with the regulator, its not allowing the gas to regulate through to the control which is why its stuck on high. Try http://www.ibuygrillparts.com/50003815.html this is where I get all of my grill parts

Control knob doesnt adjust flame height?

Use a manometer to insure lp gas pressure is correct. The regulator for the stove may need adjusting. The air mixture adjustment may not be correct for PL as well.

For (fire) safety, there is usually a thermostat that will turn off the gas if pilot light goes out.

So when you try to light the pilot you will have keep press & hold the pilot gas supply for at least 10 sec until the thermostat is heated up. Then only when the pilot light stays on continually, can you turn on the burner.

Forget about changing to a High pressure regulator!

Hello, we have a 3 switch stainless grill that has NEVER heated up properly. It always seems to stay luke-warm. Please help.

First, how high are the flames when turned to high as opposed to the low setting on each of the 3 burners? If there's no significant difference in height between the two settings, here's what I want you to do.

Turn off the gas tank (that's assuming you are using a 20lb LPG cylinder) and disconnect the hose from the tank. Wait 5 minutes and reconnect the hose to the tank. Turn the Tank Valve ON very, very slowly, until it's fully open. Now, light each burner individually turning them to high. Are the burner flames higher than before? If so, you just solved your problem.

Remember to turn the tank ON very, very slowly after turning it off to change the tank or if you turn the tank off after each time you grill. Also, when grilling preheat the grill with the lid closed, after lighting the burners.

Hope that solved your problem ... Happy Grilling!

Dude the ERC don't control the top burners. That is the electronic oven control. The top burners are controlled by them fancy knobs on top with individual switches. I have 2 vids here that might interest you. The first one show old school burner switch operation. The second it the new fangled dual burner switch. Watch this:

Our whirlpool gas dryer burner only lights one in four or five starts. The igniter always glows but the gas is not always started. Once started the burner stops after 10 or 12 minutes. What should I do?

Call the fire department. That puppy is gonna explode!
Seriously the average time a flame stays on is 25 seconds. 12 minutes would cause a Chernobyl type meltdown. If the burner is lighting intermitantly that is the coils7329710.jpg, feel the coils, the one that is hot is the intermitant one. This 4 wire t-stat could be wank, many have fallen in the past.38bdb0e.jpg

Run a wire from the sensor down to the control board conector. Bypass the sensor wire around the connector in the blower deck.
The connection can be wire nutted on the sensor lead with the wire (16 or 18 guage stranded wire works) routed through the blower deck to the other side of the plastic wire connector on the blower deck.
The Sensor operates at high voltage but very low current. The connector will sometimes fail due to humidity or wear.
I have seen this on the Rheem or Ruud furnaces.
Hope this helps.

Igniter for burners is firing continuously

Under each gas control is a switch that will turn on the spark module when rotated to the light position. One or more of these switches has failed. Some models these switches are individually replaceable, others the switch is an assembly of all four.
