Water damage here was a heavy rain outside.i put my mobile phone in my bag but unfortunately rain water goes into my bag and my mobile stopped working. when i take out it from my bag there is lot of water get inside mobile phone and my mobile's flash light (above camera) blinking very fastly i immediately take out the battery. and put my cellphone above the monitor (of pc) for drying. after 5 hour when all water evaporated. I just insert the battery, but the phone don't power on and began to vibrating, i again take out the battery and put it in my desk for fortnight, yesterday i again insert battery and press power key, but nothing happened although vibration has been stopped. I then take it to the service centre and they tell that your warranty has been void due to liquid damage and give me estimate around 6500/- Rs. (135/- US DOLLAR) which is just 40$ less than phone's price, i refused to do the service and take it out. So please is there any solution to my phone WORKS.

To dry it out, put it into a bag of rice for about 3 days. Don't use a hair dryer because it could damage soldered parts or other sensitive pieces. Next time, put your mobile into a small plastic zip-lock sandwich bag or similar. You can still receive calls and make them, and keep the phone dry.

Water got in and now the screen is blank and i also dropped it.

DO NOT try and turn it on. Take the battery out and then put it in a full bag of rice. The rice will **** the moisture out of your phone. Leave it there as long as you can the longer the better chance you phone has but I would leave a minimum of 3 day. Put that bag in a nice sunny window seal and wait. But the battery in a separate bag just for good measure. When all done wipe the phone and battery of all the rice dust and then try again hopefully it will work if not unfortunately time for a new phone.

Malfunctioning after getting wet due to rain

Take the battery out of your phone and put your phone and the battery inside of a bag full of dry white rice. Seal the bag and leave it for 24-48 hours. After that time, take it out and see if the keys work like normal again. (White rice absorbs moisture quickly and will dry out your phone quickly)

Thanks for asking.

Water damage

The phone is done. The speaker cannot handle water damage.
You can try leaving the phone site in plain, uncooked rice for a day or so, but most likely this phone will never be used again.

Unfortunately, water damage is a hardware issue and can't really be solved unless you replace your phone. Water damage is SOMETIMES covered in warranty so be sure to check with Blackberry's customer support.

I cant get my phone to turn on. The g1 tmobile screen comes on then it turns off and on over and over again. It was raining real hard and i think water got in it? can you help?

you can take the battery and the back off the device and place in completely submerged in a bag of white rice and leave it in there for 1 to 2 days this will help absorb the moisture, this should fix it if the water did not damage the circut boards if the water damaged the circut boards then the device is fried

Cell phone dropped in water - red dot showing - options?

you don't need to actually drop your phone in water for there to be water damage.
simple things like having your phone in the rain, in the bathroom while you shower, around a hot tub, or possibly even if it's really humid outside can set this water damage sensor off.
it just gives phone companies more ways to void your warranty.

hope this helped.

well that means you have liquid damage and you have voided your warranty on your device. Your only option is to buy a new phone or take advantage of insurance if you have it!
