Concerned you're not getting the hydration you need throughout the day? This bottle monitors the total amount you've drunk from it that day, and then displays it on a totaliser on the side, so you'll know when you need a top-up.

HOW TO SPOT CLEAN A CARPET I have a "furry family" of a dog and 2...

HOW TO SPOT CLEAN A CARPET
I have a "furry family" of a dog and 2 cats who I love dearly. Unfortunately, my carpet has suffered from several "accidents" and "upset tummies". It is a challenge to find an effective cleaner that cleans the stain, reduces the odor in the carpet, and is reasonably priced.

In the past, I have tried commercial products that were both expensive and ineffective. I have also used vinegar mixed with water and, although it was effective, it did not achieve the results that I would have liked. So one day, I decided to mix a little scented fabric softener in with the vinegar and water and VOILA what a difference! It removed the stain and left the carpet soft and smelling fresh. It has become my preferred method of dealing with pet stains on the carpet.

If you decide to give this a try, be sure to test this solution on an inconspicuous place on your carpet to be sure it does not discolor or lighten it. So far, I have had only good results from its use.

To Spot Clean a small area:

  1. Fill an empty clean spray bottle with equal parts of water and vinegar. Then add a capful of scented fabric softener to the bottle. Shake it up for 30 seconds.

  2. Spray the stained area

  3. Let it sit for 2 minutes and then spray a little more on it.

  4. Rub the stain with a dry cloth until it disappears.

  5. The vinegar odor will fade as it dries and helps to remove the foul smell

  6. Let it dry and you will notice a nice fresh smell and your carpet will be soft.

  7. Once you vacuum, you will have a hard time telling where the stain was.
I have actually used the mixture above in my Bissell Carpet Cleaning machine with good results. It is much less expensive than commercial carpet cleaning solutions. Be sure to read your machine manual or contact the manufacturer to make sure it does not affect its operation. So far my machine is tolerating it well.

This is a personal tip that I just wanted to share with others. I hope you find it useful.

2008 corsa utility overheating & water is boiling & pushing out through the water bottle

I see two possible causes.
1) Something is blocking air from cooling the radiator. Is there any debris like leaves blocking the radiator?
2) Something is preventing coolant from flowing through the engine. Could be a water pump failure.
Make sure your engine old level is within proper range.

Epson C2600N waste toner collector full warning, after replacing the collector

Victor_Ott:

You have emptied the waste toner bottle, now you have to tell the printer that you have done so. The waste toner collection system has a "latch" (electrical signal) that is tripped when the bottle is full. it may be a pressure sensitive switch under the bottle or a photo-sensor that senses the toner level when full. I don't know the sequence of events to "switch" that latch. Usually on the larger machines it is a series of keystrokes on the printer's keypad, starting with turning the machine off and holding down a series of keys while turning the machine on (known as the "maintenance mode". Once you are in the maintenance mode, you can "trip" that "latch" to let the copier know that the toner collection bottle has been emptied.

Have a Rinnai XR26 . For a 2 person house and gas for water heating and cooking hob only, we use x1 45kg bottle of LPG every 3-4 weeks. 4 days of the week we are both away at work all day so it us just...

I'd really like to help you. But, you can not measure propane gas in kilograms. That's measure of weight, not liquid. The weight of the bottle, doesn't determine the liquid amount that the bottle or tank holds when it's 85% full.. Since Propane Gas is a liquid, I would need to know how many liters the bottle/ tank holds, to determine what your consumption is.

Please advise. Cheers...

THE BATTERY ON MY 2002 PORSCHE BOXSTER KEEPS DYING. I HAD THE BETTERY AND ALTERNATOR CHECK AND THEY WERE PROVEN TO BE IN GOOD CONDTION. HE BATTERY IS 7 MONTHS OLD.

Do you drive it every day? The clock can kill a battery in 2 days if it is not run. How did you check the battery>? Volts, amps?,Electrolytes? The battery must maintain minimum 13.5 volts at all times. The electrolyte fluid can tell you a lot about the condition of a battery, One dead or weak cell, you might as well trash it. Just because it is a newer battery doesn't mean it is good, I've taken them off the shelf, dead. If you have an amp meter on the dash, it should always show charging, or 13+ volts, a light will only show when it is not charging or a very low battery is being charged, depends on the car. Get one of those floaty ball things at the auto store and check the water in the battery, and make sure it is up on water, bottled water works good, distilled type, no minerals. Hope this helps.

How to perform radiator flush to a malibu 2003

You'll need something to catch the old antifreeze in as its a federal law not to allow coolant to go into storm drains etc. Open the drain petcock or butterfly valve on the lower corner of your radiator (It's better to do this when vehicle is cool to avoid getting burned) and NEVER open a radiator cap when the vehicle is hot. After coolant is drained if it looks like it may have thick residue or rust in it I'd recomend adding a bottle of prestone cooling system flush (follow directions on the bottle) if not put your water hose in the radiator neck opening and turn the water on halfway. Your vehicle will need to heat up to operating temp for the thermostat to open so the water will then in turn go through and flush the rest of the system out. Allow vehicle to run with water on until all you see is clear water coming from drain spout. Turn off water, wait 1 minute and turn off vehicle as this will circulate extra water from system, allow to drain completely then close drain I'd recommend using a long life coolant like dexcool (the orange antifreeze) which is good for up to 5 years as opposed to the green etylene glycol which should be replaced between 1-2 years. For added protection you can add a bottle of water wetter additive if vehicle has had a history of running at a hotter temp than normal as well. You can get the dexcool in a premixed 50/50 mixture to take the guess work out of it. Remember as well when refilling once the vehicle has cooled you'll need to add a gallon and wait for thermostat to open back up so you can fill the rest of the system as well. drain and flush reservoir coolant tank as well. Check the following morning after you've filled it to ensure it's full. Rinse of any coolant you've spilled while refilling or it will smell like that for a month.
