Question about Computers & Internet
After I changed the antivirus, keyboard does not respond and icons in desktop cannot be moved. I checked the keyboard settings and it says that it is working properly (laptop's keyboard and external keyboard) On Screen Keyboard also is not responding.. (Enter, Delete, Ctrl keys are responding)
I would check and make sure my old antivirus was completely removed from the laptop before going any further after that I would contact customer support for your anti virus and check with them. If it was a no name brand or from a pop up you maybe have just paid for a virus pretending to be an antivirus and in that case you will have to completly wipe your hard drive and re install windows.

Remove the keyboard and check if the cable is plugged into the laptop correctly which is usually not the case. Usually the keys may have been damaged and you may have to buy a keyboard replacement.

SOURCE: Keyboard does not respond
you need to run you computer in safe mode to see if you have a driver problem. if everything works fine in safe mode try removing any pointer software then reboot so it can correct itself

If BIOS menu has User password set then nothing will work until you type in the password.
The keyboard will appear not to be working until correct pwd is typed.
Try entering your password like this
pwd1<Enter> pwd2<Enter> pwd3<Enter>
where pwd1 is your guess at the password and <Enter> is when you press the <Enter> key on keyboard.
