Changing from x10^-3 to decimal

Two alternatives:
Press SHIFT MODE 6 then a digit greater than 2 to specify the desired number of digits to the right of the decimal point. For example, of you select 3 the number will be displayed rounded off to 0.004 .
Press SHIFT MODE 9 2 to select the NORM2 mode.
Be aware that in any mode if the magnitude of the number drops below 10^-9 then the calculator will automatically switch to scientific mode. The calculator can't display more than nine digits after the decimal point---the display just isn't big enough.

I know the S<->D button that it will change from fraction to decimal, but my calculator happens to change from fraction into scientific notation! i did what the others said to Press SHIFT MODE 2 to...

You want to change the display mode. Press SHIFT MODE. Then press 6 and a number specifying the number of digits after the decimal point for fixed decimal notation, or 6 and 1 or 2 to specify one of the floating point modes.

No reset needed. To specify the number of digits after the decimal point, press SHIFT MODE 6 and then the desired number. Alternatively, press SHIFT MODE 8 and then 1 or 2 to select "Normal" mode.

How do i change the number of decimal points on the calc from 4 to 2?

Press left-shift [DISP] 1 2.

left-shift is the yellow key below the EQN key.
DISP is the left arrow key.

left-shift [DISP] brings up the display menu, 1 selects FIX, and 2 specifies the number of decimal digits to the right of the radix point.

Lost my instruction book for HP32SII calculator. Use it very infrequently. Numbers somehow got displayed as fractions, and not decimal. How do I change back to decimal display? Thanks

My answers always come in fractions by default. how do i change the settings so they come in decimal points by default? further. how do i change the settings to have the answer in decimal points up to 4...

Press SHIFT MODE 2 to select the LineIO mode. To select the number of displayed digits in fixed decimal notation, press SHIFT MODE 6 and select the desired number of digits.

I have a comma where the decimal should be. How do I exchange?

To switch between the two, press the [SHIFT] then press the key in the middle of the bottom row (the key you use to enter a decimal point).

How do I reset to get rid of a '','' from my hpc calculator

  1. Turn off the calculator.
  2. Hold down the decimal point.
  3. Continue to hold the decimal point key, while turning on the calculator.
The comma should change back to a decimal point.
