Question about Computers & Internet
Got a Gateway all in one with slimtype dvd burner, and since I've had it... and I had done a factory restore, the dvd drive won't read a data disk or burn one, but I can play a movie!!! Windows tells me the best device driver is all ready installed. What could be my problem, maybe needs updated firmware??? Running Windows 8, with startmenu 8... just through that in cause I don't really like the way left those of us without a touchscreen just a hangin' in the wind... Sorry... Really appreciate your help

best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

You can go to the control panel, then to device manager, click on disk drives. Make sure you have the right one and then delete it. Restart the computer and it should "find" it and install it, that is if it still works.
