SOURCE: Whirlpool AWZ 7303 tumbling but not drying.

blower wheels will get loose in dryers. Sometimes they will get a whole lump of lint in them or you can hear a rattling noise in the dryer, this is the blower wheel, its worn out and it can cause the fuse to blow too,or it can half *** work and take fifty forever's to dry the clothes.Or it could be just that the dryer needs a good blowing out .I use a lawn blower to get all the lint out of the dryer as well as the vent pipe and vent to outside. I take the filter HOUSING out and wash it also. That is, I remove the housing and clean is good! Making sure that the dryer is properly flowing air is a good thing!

SOURCE: Not Heating to dry clothes

ALWAYS UNPLUG YOUR DRYER BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO DO ANY WORK ON IT.
Sounds like your problem may be with the heating coil.
Remove the back of the machine and try to locate the air duct going from the blower to the drum. Normally inside the air duct you will find the heating coil and the thermostats/thermistor.
Once you have located the heating coil, remove the two wires from it and check the coil with an ohm meter across the two terminals of the coil.
You should read continuity across the terminals, if not you will need to replace the coil as it is faulty.
If the heating coil is ok, then:
You can check the thermostat/thermistor by removing the two wires and taping them together with electrical tape.
If the coil heats up then replace the thermostat/thermistor.
DO NOT LEAVE THE WIRES TAPED TOGETHER AFTER THE TEST. This could cause a fire, as you have removed the safety of overheat from the machine.
I will include these two websites for parts and further help:
http://www.partselect.com/
http://www.appliancepartspros.com/index.aspx
Both also have chat assistance 24/7.
Good Luck,
Hope this helps

Trying to get the service Manual for awz 3477 whirlpool dryer. The heating element goes on but after about 5 minutes it turns off + lint light goes on. Have cleaned the traps. thinking thermostat?

Have you cleaned the sensor bar? Did you remove the grates and clean out the lint traps, not the filter the actual traps? Does it have any codes stored? Most modern dryers can give error codes (even ones without a display)

Why my Whrilpool Drier AWZ 555 is not drying the clothes and power light is blinking?

Check to make sure it's getting full 240vac power. Some or most driers are fed from two breakers in the box. If one is tripped you aren't getting enough power. That could be causing the blinking light. Also check for enough exhaust flow to prevent overheating.

Whirlpool AWZ 8578 - does not stop, always needs manual switch off

These symptoms most usually are a bad timer/control. If the dial turns all by itself, and continues to turn by itself like a clock does, it is likely a timer/control must be replaced. Same results if it will not advance by itself either.
You could type in "Sears Parts" for the new part, typing in your complete model number. If you wished to try a used control, after obtaining a part number, you could type that in to "e-bay" and see what you find in new or used parts there. I do.
Be blessed.

Whirlpool AWZ 410 washer dryer is not generating any hot air when drying. The dryer drum is tumbling but with cool air only.

Unplug the unit and take the top with the screws holding the lid on. Take a look at all of the wires on the top of the machine. You might notice broken/burnt wires on the safeties that are close to or that directly activate the heating element located in the blower housing located at the top of this washer/dryer condensing unit.

Hi,\r\nat the beginning of October, i bought a Whirlpool dryer - AWZ 3477, and use it about four times a week. i mainly use the "cupboard dry" function. i tend to put the dryer on at night, go to...

you mean the dryer required more power supply.you have to be careful with these solution cos it very hard to understand. Power could be off- - Check the voltage at the outlet with the VOM.Timer or thermostat could be bad -- Follow same tests as listed above.Terminal block could be bad -- Use the VOM to check for voltage at the terminal block. Be very careful here, as the power needs to be on for this test. If you don't feel comfortable, call an experienced electrician.Start switch could be bad -- Set the VOM to RX1 and remove one of the leads to the switch. Clip the probes to the switch's terminals. The reading should be infinity. Press the start button and the reading should change to zero. If not, the start switch is bad. please rate these solution by saying how helpful or vote.
