SOURCE: The tines on a honda f220 always spin and don't change speed when clutch is engaged but speed up when throttle is increased. Adjusted cable with no luck.

I believe that unit utilizes a centrifical clutch. try decreasing the idle speed and see if the tines stop. They should then engage as throttle is increased.

How do I get to the fuel filter?

Remove the fuel filler cap and with a bent piece of wire hook the black pipe out of the fuel tank. The filter is on the end of this.

I have a f22o honda rotor tiller.it runs great but when i put the unit in dirt it won't spin.it will if it's not touching anything.

You probably have a belt drive that has is not tight enough to pull under a load. The belt is pulled by an idler pulley that engages when you start the tines. Check the belts by working you engage lever and look for the belt and idler. More than likely there is an adjustment that will allow you to put more tension on the belt thus making it till. Do not do this when the machine is running! The belt should not have flex in it when engaged. It may a little effort to engage the tines when you get it tight enough to till.

How to check and replace Honda tillerF220 fuel filter?

Of course you will probably have to remove something to get to it but once you get to it there should be a clamp on either side of it that can be removed with a pair of pliers. Just squeeze the clamps and scoot them back off the filter stem, You may have to work them back and forth to get them to release, then all you have to do is pull the old filter out and insert the new one, You will probably have to hold the filter and work the gas line back and forth to get it to release from the filter like you did the clamps, Oh yea, before I forget ( as I usually do) put the clamps back on,

Tiller will not continue to run. It has good spark. It will start if primed through the carburator but once the prime burns off it dies.

If fuel sits in the gas tank 3 months, the fuel deteriorates and it gums up the filter in the tank. You need to put stabil in the tank. This has happened to me over and over. It is best to dump out the gasoline if you don't use the tiller within one month. Some people who use chain saws commercially dump all the gas out every day and start over the next day. The symptoms are the tiller won't run at high speed at first, then as it gums up more
it won't run even at low speed, then becomes hard to start.
The gum is hard to see. Pull out the gas line to get to the filter and change the filter. Filters are only 3 or 4 dollars at hardware stores.

Honda fg100a wont stay running full of fuel and oil

I had a similar issue. Tiller starts and runs for 20 secs. or so then dies. Found the problem! In turning the tiller on its side to check model numbers etc. the fuel line had shifted inside the tank and was stuck just about at the TOP of the fuel level. When I gently pushed the fuel filter and line back to the BOTTOM of the fuel tank, the tiller now runs beautifully! So, check that the fuel line placement inside the fuel tank is correct.

Honda FG100 tiller will not prime, filter replaced

Well if the unit has fuel than it should prime unless the primer bulb is damaged and unable to force air/gas through the line. This is definetly a fuel issue, I would remove both the line from the tank to the carb and carb to engine and clean them thoroughly.

When you press the bulb the carb should shoot gas from the unit when disconnected. If this isn't happening your clog is here. If it does eject gasoline than your clog is the clear line which sometimes collects sediment if the gas is poluted.

Honda GX25 HG110 mini tiller, tines won't turn.

Mine did the same thing....two things to check: 1) air cleaner, make sure that it is clean 2). gas filter in the gas tank. Take a short piece of wire and fish the black line out. On the end is a small fuel filter. After I flushed mine fuel filter out it ran fine.
