Question about Canon PowerShot SD600 Digital Camera
I just got my rebel t3i this year 2013 for valentines so it isn't old at all. so yesterday I was using my camera just find ,today I charged the battery and put it in and went to turn it on and it wouldn't turn on at all. I tried taking a picture on every setting possible and still nothing it wont turn on at all... what could possible be wrong? oh and when I went to charge my battery the orange light was on meaning it was charging a few hours later the light turned green so I don't think its my battery
Unless you put the battery in wrong There is a small diagram on the lid part or in side where the batteries go showing which way the batteries are put in.

If you have charged the battery many times then after 3 years that could be to 90% your problem.
Firstly try to clean the battery contacts and camera contactswith cleaning alcohol or contact cleaner.
If that does not help, it is a new battery.

SOURCE: I recieved a brand new
You can try doing the steps below
1. Remove the battery from the camera
2. Remove the Memory chip
3. leave the camera for an Hour
4. After which you can install the battery only first
5. Recharge the camera first
6. Later when the camera is charged the battery
7. Install the chip if available
HOPE THIS WILL SOLVE THE PROBLEM

It's very likely the CCD sensor that needs to be replaced. If you need to have it serviced, this place is excellent for the Powershots and not much at all if you need to have one fixed: www.camerasandparts.com
Before having it fixed, press the DISP button first and make sure you just didn't turn the display off. If you end up needing service for the Canon, that place above is really great for these cameras.
