Question about Nintendo DS Console
Hi! My Problem is, when I'm going to open my Nintendo DS Lite and select the console (or the loader of it) and I thought it will show up all the Files containing my Games but not. Absolutely not! Instead, it goes "white screen" both top and lower screen. I don't think there is a connection problem or the R4 Upgrade Gold Pro Wood I downloaded is maybe not working? or maybe the R4 Card is corrupted? or maybe the Internal Software of the NDSL are corrupted? Please Help! I'm really helpless :( please contact me if you have solutions. Facebook: www.facebook.com/NakzNakz Yahoo Mail: firstname.lastname@example.org
I've experience this problem before, its most likely an R4 corruption. Although you can try other versions of the R4 firmware.

A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

SOURCE: New R4 card never loads
You should check if the R4 card is actually R4 SDHC, because the firmware of R4DS is not compatible with it. If it is SDHC, go to this website http://rs320.rapidshare.com/files/140174805/English-1.21.zip to download the firmware for your card. If there are any roms on it, you should save them somewhere else, for you have to format the card first (do this in windows by going to 'this computer', then right-clicking on the SD card from your R4 and then select 'format'. Warning! Never select 'quick format'! This could do damage). Now your card is completely empty. Copy the files you just downloaded and unzipped to the card (5 files; _system_, moonshl, _DS_MENU.DAT, _DS_MENU.INI and _DS_MSHL.NDS). Now put the SD card in the R4 and it should work properly :) I had the same problem, and I have just solved it *grin*. I hope this was useful.

SOURCE: nintendo r4 nor working
The cartridge isn't being detected by the DS, this has nothing to do with what is on the card, it's not connecting with the pins inside the DS. Possibly putting a thin piece of card on the front of the game card may push the adaptor close enough to contact the pins.

SOURCE: new R4 card wont work !!!!
First make sure you have the correct kernel for the card. Go to the website where you purchased it and download the current firmware. Next copy all of that onto the micro sd card. Build folders in you sd card, very simple right click...new folder... enter... then label them correctly .. Label one movies... music... games.. etc... then put your files into the correct folders.. Another common error is that people use to high of a sd card.... some r4 cards only accept up to a 2gb micro card If you use one that is too big it will stick on the loading screen ... If none of this works reload all the software onto the card and start from scratch... hope this helps
