Help my laptop isn't working

Every time I turn my PC on it brings to this screen and I want to completely recover it. Help please, it\'s my only communication with my husband right now!

I need the model number Jasmine. I can see it is a Toshiba. The model number is on the Bottom of the laptop.
Example;
Toshiba Satellite A135-S4527

It is the A135 that I need. Post back in a Comment.
\'Armed\' with this information, I will guide you in removing ALL power.
Then finding the Hard drive Compartment Cover on the bottom of the laptop. Whereupon you will be instructed to remove any fastening screws, which hold the Hard drive Caddy in place, and remove the Hard drive.

(Sheet metal casing around Hard drive, is Hard drive Caddy.
When Hard drive is replaced, the caddy is removed from the old hard drive, then the new hard drive is installed in the caddy; and both units are installed together back into the laptop)

Using a Toshiba Satellite C650 (Or C650D), as an example;

Diagnoses at this point, is just to ensure the Hard drive has a good connection. Removal and re-installation will ensure this.
After the hard drive is ensured to be seated correctly, then the Hard drive Compartment Cover is reinstalled; and all power.
(Battery FIRST, then AC adapter)

Chances are the Hard drive may be going bad. In this case all personal documents are copied off. Photos, videos, music, documents you have created, or downloaded.
The Hard drive is removed from the laptop, and installed in an economical external enclosure. The external enclosure has a USB cable attached to it. To retrieve your personal documents, the external enclosure\'s USB cable; is plugged into any working computer\'s USB port.
Then the personal documentation is copied off. More on this when the needed information is posted.

First - re-seat the hard disk and reboot the computer. If the computer does not boot up then reboot and go into the BIOS configuration to see if the BIOS detects the hard drive. If it doesn't detect the hard drive then it could be faulty.
Then the hard drive needs to be replaced in the computer/laptop, Windows installed and the computer or laptop's device drivers plus your programs etc. to get a functioning computer/laptop again.

it maybe that the bios chip is faulty or stuck in a loop as what it seems to be doing is trying to run the bios flash programme. Next time the pc boots up press F2 or Del and in the cmos settings see if the time and date is correct, if not correct it and look in all the menus for something similair to bios flash utility updates and dissable it if enabled or select off, save settings and exit for a reboot. Hopefully it will stop, that's if you can get into the bios without this programme flashing up. If you cannot stop it you will need to reset the bios and the only way may be to remove the bottom compartments of the laptop and look on the motherboard for the cmos flat round shaped battery and remove it for 10 minutes or so and then replace and try again, or only other option is to speak to sony technical as a bios problem is a serious one and cannot sometimes be resolved other than a motherboard replacement i'm afraid.

1.Since darks are persistent,the LED backlights are problem.If it still has time left on the warranty, ask for replacement.Else call technician and replace LED backlights only.

Sounds to me like you have a virus or infection. The fact that it works on in safe mode is the key. Most viruses need the internet connection to function, after all that is how they got into your system (by the internet). Safe Mode does not give you internet connection so the virus is handcuffed and can't function like it does in normal mode.

Boot your system as if you are going into Safe Mode but instead take the Safe Mode With Networking option (this will give you internet connectivity). Download and Install MalwareBytes then run a Quick Scan.

Go to www.google.com and in the search box type:"Download cnet Malwarebytes" (without the quotes). Download andinstall malwarebytes from the sites download.cnet/malwarebytes. When thesite opens up click on the Green Download button on the left. Do notclick the Red Download button, that's junk. When it finishes installing the GuiInterface will open up with an offer to Accept a Trial Version orDecline. CLICK DECLINE you want the totally free version. Run aQUICK SCAN. As it scans, if it finds infections the number will be inred. When it finishes scanning, click SHOW RESULTS. A notepad textdocument will open up showing you the results. You can close the textdocument and go back to the Gui Interface where you will click REMOVE SELECTEDRESULTS. The objects will already be selected for you. When itfinishes removing the objects click ok and it will sometimes reboot yourmachine.

good thing is it seems like a software fault not hardware, when it isn't working check to see if the drivers are still there and if they are updated. something may be deleting the drivers for the device like a virus. so there may be a program that you use after you recover that sends it to **** again. Download Avast! antivirus and use that, best protection around.

To check to see if the DVD/CD has the drivers click start -> right click computer -> click manage -> (wait for screen to load) click on device manager and navigate to the cd/dvd rom drive. you can manage the drivers from there and update, locate the driver and backup, rollback drivers etc..

I use Acer aspire 4315 laptop. The power button isn't working. When I press the power button nothing happen. So how can I turn on my laptop?


maybe you have already done this, but remember that many laptops require that you remove the battery for about 30sec. as well as disconnect the AC power to reset them. Always try to do this when everything seems completely dead.

I loaded data from another computer that must have had a virus and now my new toshiba satellite L655-S5153 computer boots up to a blank screen, even in safe mode. the computer didn't come with...


first, recover your files. You will need to use something like this data recovery program.

I've had to use it many times in the past but in this case you need to plug that drive into another system as an external drive or slave drive and run the software from there. It will rebuild the drive and hopefully recover the files.

After you get back your files, you can then format the drive and reinstall your system.

My laptop starts but i only get caps lock led flickering together with the function led and nothing the laptop is dead please help me.


there is a socket in your laptop in a D shape with 15 pin. Connect a PC monitor in that terminal and turn on your laptop if you can see you desktop on that monitor then your video card isn't working or your lcd screen isn´t working anymore.

I wanted to do a recovery and i opened vaio care and then the loading did complete but after that nothing happened.can you please help me?


first try to restart your system and launch VAIO Care again.
If this does not work, restart your system and when you see the VAIO logo, press F10.
Follow the screens and select recover C drive from the recovery options.
Once your system is recovered, please create Recovery Media, so, in case you cannot do the F10 workaround you have the disks to bring your system back.

My acer ZG5 does not start up there is a black screen and a message stating that there is no bootable device and to insert boot disk and press any key; I don't have a boot disk so how can I fix my problem....


The bootable device is your laptop's hard drive. This meesage usually appears when the hard drive has crashed or the Master Boot record is damaged. you can repair this if you see message that gives you an option to recover your hard drive, try turning off then turning on the laptop to see the option appear during the boot process. But the catch here is that you might not recover your personal files after the recovery. If you have important files in your Hard drive bring the laptop to a qualified technician to recover your files.
