A6110/A6120 BIOS Guide

Boot Menu
Nope. No option for booting from USB
1. Floppy Disk Drive
2. Drive0: (Harddrive)
3) CD/DVD Drive
4) NETWORK
5.
6.
7.
Excluded from Boot Order:
USB MEMORY
USB Harddrive

Back before USB thumbdrives (Flash Drive, whatever), came on the scene; the Floppy Drive was used. Then the Optical Drive came out.
(CD/DVD drive)

Transfer the boot data to floppy disks, or a CD/DVD disk.
Make sure they are bootable..........

Hi,
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US.
click here to Talk to a Technician (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

SOURCE: lenovo bios password

Hi,

I found a homepage with a load of Backdoor passwords, - one of them will bypass you forgotten BIOS password. If you dont know your type, you´ll have to try them all out, or untill you hit the right one:

SOURCE: boot from usb

Sounds like the boot order menu is what you have. Set the boot order menu to try other devices before the hard drive. (Example: CD/DVD drive, floppy; if present, USB devices, hard drive). You should have a default key for accessing the boot menu (usually f11 or f12). Hit this key and choose the USB option. Make sure the device you want to boot to is already connected before you turn on the laptop.

Usb boot

Start your PC and press F2 several times until the Bios menu comes up. Then select boot order or bootable device options and allow for usb devices to boot. Make sure the USB device in the boot order is moved to be in front of the HDD so it checks for it first and thus will load your linux distro from your usb drive.

Reboot from usb

If you mean that you want to boot from USB, please note that older laptops may not support that option.

Go to BIOS and check settings to make sure USB Boot is enabled, and that your USB drive is set to First Boot Device, or something along those lines. Also if you provide model number it would help us help you.

Fujitsu nightmare

ok try setting bios back to HDD first boot, then when it can't find the operating system it should then give the option to boot from the cd again. If it still don't work then look for default settings in bios and set it then change it back again, you could be stuck in bios loop. But i'll open the window ready for you.
