Fisher I cannot get the cold water only to work

The cold water solenoid valve went out. Be sure the cold water valve is turned wide open.

check your inlet valve make sure it working ok

Either the cold water inlet solenoid has failed or there is a fault with the electronic control module, Unfortunately the only way to find out is to replace the cold water solenoid and see if it works, if it doesn't then the electronic control board is faulty.

faulty cold water solenoid replace with new one

Try to swap the plugs and hoses to the hot /cold solenoids see if that works the hot valve with cold water if work you need to buy a cold valve.

Hi just read your posting.Now have you removed the cold water inlet hose from the machine end and checked to see if the water is coming from the tap and throe the hose?If you have then the fault could be faulty Water Valve,or faulty Control Module.Please reply and confirm whether you have cold water coming from your cold water tap or not and I can guide you throe the repair of this fault.

You are better off swapping the valves over in the machine until you can buy a replacement valve. I've done this for a month or so until I replaced the valve. Works as long as you only use a cold wash and your cold water is not too cold as to make the machine want to add some hot. If it does this then simply press start to clear the fault.

turn off water
disconnect fill hose from tap
examine screen inside hose end for 'muck' blockage
clean screen
reconnect hose
test washer
if no fill
replace water solenoid valve

note: cold water valve fails first, it gets most use,
if only using cold water, you can simply swap the hot and cold hoses at the tap, and swap the hot and cold electrical connectors on the solenoid valves, the hot solenoid is no the cold one and the washer can be used, cold only, for about as long as it has operated thus far..

if you select cold it should be only giving you cold water so the sensor should not be an issue , i would chang my hose over to the hot line and select hot ans see if that is ok if it is then it will be the solenoid you could try also swapping the hot and cold solenoid to see if that works
