Screen Problems

Hi,
I recently replaced the backup battery in my hx4700. As i was replacing it i found that the holder for the battery had dry joints, so i resolded the holder on and all was good. However, i then made a stupid mistake and applied some cleaning solvent to remove the flux and to much came out and sturated the pda. I let the pda dry for a little bit before re-assembling and when i turned the pda back on i found that the screen looked very odd and assumed that the cleaning solvent had leaked though to the screen. At this point i tested the pda and EVERYTHING worked fine, just the screen looked funny and i decided i would try to fix it. I then deassembled the pda and removed the screen to let it dry. i found that the touchscreen had come apart from the lcd screen so i cleaned both with alcohol and reattatched. i let the screen dry for a while and then reassembled the pda. This time when i turned on the pda all i got was some colour in the middle of the screen (like a faint strip of blue down the center of the screen). Would this problem occour due to a faulty ribbon cable (have i just not put the ribbon cable back in properly?) or did i break it when cleaning the lcd and touchscreen? Please help, it is a work pda and i am stressing out!!
