My webcam does not work on my asus screen

install proper drivers,.. If its windows 7 and you are using drivers of the chicony cam, the image is upside down, you can alter its *.inf file there are 2 lines wich need other settings. make 0 into 1 and youre ready to go!
The lines in snp2uvc.inf file are:

You'll see entries like this...
"HKR,DefaultSettings,Flip,0x00010001,0 - and - HKR,Settings,Flip,0x00010001,0".
Change the last digit (zero) to a "1" to all instances
this enables the cam to flip its image 180 degrees so its back to normal!
Yours sincerely,

Dennis

My Asus K51ac web cam USB2.0 1.3M UVC WebCam is showing an upside down image... How can I invert the camera in the holder... Thanks

Basically this should only be a proper driver installation/re-installation. Or you may try the below options
A) Look for the snp2uvc.inf file. Open it with notepad. Look for the entry... HKR, DefaultSettings,Flip,0x00010001,0 - and - HKR,Settings,Flip,0x00010001,0 Change the last digit (zero) to a "1". Save the file and re-install your driver manually from the device manager. You need to choose the driver. Reboot and your video should be now in the correct orientation.
B) Inside the ASUS drivers folder there should be a software called tsnp2std.exe. Open your camera then run this application. An icon on the system tray will appear. Click on it and select Open Property Page. There you should be able to configure the setting.
C) Download the latest webcam driver for your Asus. But first, you need to know what driver you need. There are free software that detects makers of the webcam installed on your computer for proper downloading of your needed driver.

How do I get and install the codec Intel IMA ADPCM (11)

Hi There,

The codec should already be there.

Just follow these steps:
1. Click on Start -> Control Panel.
2. Click on Add hardware applet.
3. On the Add Hardware Wizard, click on Next button.
4. Select “Yes, I have already connected the hardware” radio button and then click Next button.
5. Choose “Add a new hardware device” at the bottom of the list and then click Next.
6. Select “Install the hardware that I manually select from a list (Advanced)” and click Next.
7. Select “Sound, video and game controllers” from “Common hardware types” list and click Next.
8. Select “(Standard system devices)” from “Manufacturer”.

Note: To install or reintall video codecs, select “(Standard system devices)” from “Manufacturer” and “Video Codecs” from “Model” instead.
9. Click on “Have Disk…” button.
10. Click Browse button in the Install From Disk dialog box. Navigate to folder C:\Windows\System32, and then locate mmdriver.inf file. Highlight mmdriver.inf and click Open or simply double click on mmdriver.inf file, then click OK in the Install From Disk dialog box.

Click on “Continue Anyway” button if a warning about logo compatibility pops up.
11. A list of audio codecs supported by mmdriver.inf appears on the Add Hardware Wizard.

I have a Dell Vostro 400 and two video cards. Only one card will work and it is an Nvidia GeForce FX 5200.The other one is an ATI Radeon HD 2400 PRO. These are the specs from the two graphics cards:...

you cant join two different platform vga cards. simply because they have their own platform and have separate drivers, so they conflict each other thus causing one of them shut off or disable..

The image on my asus k50i webcam is upside down and dont know how to fix it went to life frame settings but didn't have the option to flip need help

You must install the Generic Microsoft versiom USB Camera from this K52N Camera_Azurewave_VS011_WIN7_64_z5854000205.zip
Or other notebook but azuware VS011.
If after intalling driver, your camera is mirrored and/or inverted you may simply edit the snp2uvc.inf with notepad and find:
Flip and Mirror and change the value from 0 to 1 or from 1 to 0 so to invert or no. 1 equals YES
e.g.:
HKR,DefaultSettings,Flip,0x00010001,1
to
HKR,DefaultSettings,Flip,0x00010001,0

You have to apply the same value to all occurrences though.
Enjoy and happy webcamming...

In device manager Network Adaptor has yellow exclamation mark. "Windows cannot load the driver required for this device." My HP Pavillion laptop is under guarantee - was purchased Feb.2008.

Completely remove the LAN adapter and disable "Plug 'n Play OS" in the BIOS, as follows:
1) Remove the card from Device Manager, under Network Adapter
2) Delete C:\WINDOWS\INF\DRVDATA.BIN
3) Delete C:\WINDOWS\INF\DRVIDX.BIN
4) Delete the following files. Not all of them may exist.
  • C:\WINDOWS\INF\NET82557.INF
  • C:\WINDPWS\INF\NET559A9X.INF
  • C:\WINDOWS\INF\NET5579X.INF
5) Shutdown and restart the PC, and enter BIOS setup.
6) Find the option for Plug and Play BIOS, and disable it.**
7) Restart Microsoft Windows* 95 and use the Intel® installation diskette to reinstall the adapter.
