Your problem is that your fan motor needs to be lubed. The bottom bearing on the motor can be lubed by taking the fan tower off the base and turning it upside down. Using a flashlight, you should be able to see the "bottom" bearing of the fan motor. I usually just put a drop or two of Mobil 1 or some other synthetic motor oil on the bearing and let it sit inverted for a few minutes so the oil flows into the bearing. If you are lucky, this will be sufficient and your fan motor will start running again....If not, then the "top" bearing ( when sitting in a normal position) right under the fan blade will also need to be lubed...This will require disassembly of the fan tower so you can access the bearing with some spray lube, then reassembly of the tower which can be tricky so you don't break any connectors that keep the whole assembly together. Try the bottom bearing first and save the other one for the summer!

How do I clean my clean living tower fan?

Usually there would be a few screws in the base that need to be taken out and the outer case pulls out. This will expose the fan and filters inside. Hopefully that will allow you to clean the inside. Would not spray any cleaning agents. Just a light vacuum and wipe with clean moist cloth.

Model 29006 - remote cannot control fan speed anymore, even with new 9V battery in it. Where can I get info for repair or replacement?

It is possible that your remote control unit is faulty if the fan can be adjusted on the set. If so you can open the remote and check for loose components, normally the crystal or the controller IC can be loose . use a good touch up soldering job . If not try to get help from any electronic service shop as they may assist with the remote controller work. But take your fan alonf to confirm the service. Hope you try this out. Good day

I haven't used it in one year and now it won't turn on. (Bionaire BT46R)

The motor may just be stiff, or seized. take the cover off, and try spinning it with your hand. then plug it in and try it. if it doesn't work, then it's probably done. I just fixed mine today, but the base on mine was just loose. but it shouldn't be too hard to take apart.
