The battery door is on the bottom of the camera. Hold the camera bottom up with the battery door to your right. Slide the oval spring-loaded battery latch all the way to the right and gently pull up on the battery door.

My nicon s2500 camera automatic on when i install my battery.

This is not a normal way of switching on a camera, because most cameras have a door switch, that indicates if the battery door is open or closed. If the battery door is open you should not be able to switch on the camera. If some dirt cam between the housing and the door lock switch or some other mechanical failure took place, that could cause this strange phenomena. Please remove the battery again, check if the battery door can move free and nothing is in or around the edge. Then reinsert the battery and close the door. If the error keeps coming back, please visit your dealer of contact the nearest Nikon service centre.

How do I open the card/battery door on my Powershot A570 Camera?

My canon camera does the same thing. Engage the button and use your fingernail to wedge between the battery door and the camera body. This should cause the door to slide open.

How do i open the battery door on my D3000

Try again. Slide the tab and pull on the door lightly. Or after sliding it, keep the slider in that position and turn the camera upright so that the battery presses against the door.

How do you get the battery door open on the sharper image u-video camera?

The battery door is at the bottom of the camera, just below the little box with THE SHARPER IMAGE in it and opens easily ...if you know the trick. (The tripod mount is in the bottom of the door.) using your thumb, press down on the tripod screw hole and push on the door from the front of the camera toward the rear and the door pops open. Reverse the procedure to close.

You don't need to open the camera to change the film. The battery door is on the other end. You open the door by inserting the protrusion on the plastic end piece of the strap into the slot of the battery door. It takes a small 3 volt battery.
