Dixie Narco 501E Vending Machine

I have "inhereted" a Dixie Narco soda vending machine. The "Sold Out" display stays on constantly, the troubleshooting guidelines from their manual gives the options of "check limited access program" and "Install current Eprom". I think I can figure out the programming of the limited access, but need some help on knowing what the current Eprom is, and how to change it out. Thanks for your help!

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

SOURCE: Program knob on GE washing machine not functioning

Older washing machines had a 2 position knob push or pull to set and the other position to run, also if the timer is bad it can be replaced the parts are still available on the Internet.

Check behind the coin mechanism. When you open your machine, pull out the coin mechanism. You will see a set of dip switches there. Go to this page for more help. http://www.vendingadvantage.com/troubleshooting.htm

SOURCE: If you can help it

Best I can offer is that timer is defective, programming has conflicts or overlaps, or electrical outlet has reversed polarity. Test outlet with circuit analyzer.

The bill acc. blinks 3 times, bill & cion mechs have been changed, still blinks three times. won't take any money or vend.

Try it without the bill acceptor attached to get the machine working. You did not say what kind of acceptor but three flashes often mean a bad sensor in the unit. Another possibility is that it is disabled from the vendor. Check that all the columns have returned to home position if it is a bag vendor. If it is a pop machine then take off the metal cover over the vend motors and CAREFULLY push down on the microswitches to see if the motors run. Pop may fall out as you do this so watch for it. After running all the motors or homing out all the columns try you machine again. You will probably have to get the bill acceptor fixed though.
