Question about Back to Basics 600 Smoothie Plus Work Top Blender

1 Answer

Smoothie maker 600

I bought the smoothie maker 600 at a yard sale and filled the pitcher with water and it leaked our rapidly. After ordering a seal for 3 times what i paid for the blender the water leaks out a bit slower but not much. Is this thing salvageable or should I trash it?

Check to see if the jar has any cracks or if the blade assembly or collar have any cracks.
Is it possibly leaking from the tap valve?
If the blades or tap lever are cracked I would recommend replacing them, however if the jar is cracked i would just buy a new blender. These are great for smoothies but they are all discontinued and parts wont be available for much longer.

I need a replacement pitcher for a back to basics smoothie elite se2000. Do you have any?

You can order replacement parts for your smoothie maker online from the following site:

http://www.westbend.com/catalog.cfm?dest=itempg&itemid=3694&secid=87&linkon=subcategory&linkid=90

Your pitcher may be currently out of stock so you may have to wait or send them an e-mail to see if you can be put on back order.

You can order a new seal for your smoothie blender here:

From that link, just choose the exact model of your product and order the seal that fits your smoothie blender.

Replacement parts

You need the blending jar seal. Order that and other parts for the blender here assuming they still support your model based on the manufacturing date code. (The manufacturing date code is generally found on a white sticker and will begin with a CA, DR, XM, or W followed by 4 numbers, or a # (number), letter, # (number), # (number) combination):
http://www.focuselectrics.com/catalog.cfm?dest=itempg&itemid=3699&secid=53&linkon=category&linkid=91

Depending on the material, some blender seals can be maintained with a little bit of vegetable oil.

I hope this helps.
