A7V 400MX ASUS Mother Board: Problem

Recently, my computer is not hanging on.
The cpu's fan is rotating, the light of the motherboard is lightning...

Even the light of the cd drive is lightning, and the eject button is working just fine(the case goes out, and goes in).

BUT, no signal of the HD, and worse, no sinal of the motherboard work properly.... nothing is being showing on the screen, the light of the monitor just keep turning on and turning off.... and not even the bios shows up.

Could you help me? What could it be?

Had my motherboard changed by local repair shop. Both fans are now running constantly & it is deafening, also power light no longer comes on and was told it was "no big deal". Have 2 like computers,...

Ok so what fans? the case fans? the cpu fan? The power supply fan should always run. The case fan can be wired to the mother board and do an speed step system (slow to fast) depending on heat, same with cpu fan. As for the power light its just an matter of pluging in the wire from frount panel to the mother board pins for pwrled. Asus has an download for your board to get the pin outs.

After changing power supply, motherboard still doesn't start

Asus huh.. okay your problem is one of the following ^_^
1- either the CPU Fan is not attached well or loos, that will cause the CPU to melfunction
2- BIOS damaged, well if the mother beard doesn't start at all then this is your problem, Change the BIOS at any ASUS local agent
3- CPU damaged, if the computer fan starts working but the screen doesn't and you are suer the fan is tightly and correctly attached.. then this problem remains in CPU.. @[email protected] I really hope its not.

DDr or Dual Channel Ddr

From the manual:

2 x 184 pin DDR DIMM Sockets support up to maximum 2 GB unbuffered PC 2700/2100/1600 non-ECC DDR SDRAM memory.

So, to answer your question, for your particular motherboard, no. However, to dispute the other poster, Dual channel is better than regular DDR. It's just your motherboard does not support it.

Asus 945 motherboard is in stand by mode. When I power on , the LED of mother board is glow The cpu fan just jurking and stop. And the LED of motherboard is still now glow.

Hi kausik, that green led you see on the motherboard is just letting you know there is power to the board. (This is normal).
You'r CPU fan jerking & stopping is a bad thing & has nothing to do with standby mode. Your CPU fan needs to be replaced.
There are a bunch of Asus 945 boards, just click the link to see.

If you are able to remove the fan from the heatsink than you may be able to buy a fan from here.

Most people replace both heat sink & fan.

Have more questions, feel free to ask.
Good Luck!

MicroATX motherboard work but the monitor shows a black screen.

I assume the monitor is turned on? Try the monitor with a known good computer to verify it's OK. I believe this board has AGP video. Verify that it's properly seated, or try another board.
