If you are installing an Android operating system on an Aspire One you will need to make sure you have a compatible ROM image. I would suggest you try and install a Linux OS such as Ubuntu or Mint. The Aspire One was available with Ubuntu from the factory.

On my laptop aspire 5349 when i try to recovery factory setting the laptop installer starts services is stuck how to solve this problem.

I am guessing the laptop is a few years old now and not covered by warranty, it appears you have a corrupt recovery partition or the HDD is faulty which i suspect its the latter, need it checked as i think a new HDD is in order.

Acer aspire AX1430-EF30P will not boot stuck on BIOS setup

Unplug, remove battery, plug in, push on/off button use this procedure: http://yourbusiness.azcentral.com/recover-acer-aspire-one-19796.html To do a System Restore or a System Recovery, if you have a Factory Recovery Partition, you will lose all you date if you Recover to Factory Settings. A System Restore is preferable, to a date before the issue. If the HDD LED does not blink during startup it may be bad, remove and test. Use the "F" key to try a Safe Mode Boot or other options.

Reinstalling windows os

Restoring your Acer back to factory setup will not bring back any viruses.
BUT you need the Acer recovery CD for your model laptop.
Acer Recovery CD is available from their WEB site.

Sounds like you have a corrupted Windows Update. Unfortunately if safe mode is not working, then your only option is to re-install the OS. Usually Acer laptops these days don't come with recovery disks. Instead they have a recovery partition built right in to the hard drive. Check in the manual for the hotkey to press to start the system restore when the system is booting up.

Insert your Operating System recovery CD then try to turn off the computer, remove the cables and battery. Then press and hold the power button for 8 secs. Reinsert the cables and battery. Press and hold F12 while turning on the computer. Select the CD/DVD ROM under boot device menu. Press any key to boot from CD. Then select English > then select Custom > then select Disk 0 partition. On that manner, your system will install fresh copy of your operating system and will restore your pc in factory default..

Having completed a factory reset on my Acer aspire i have a solid blue box stuck on Installing e recovery It's running but nothing more!!!!!

OK you said Windows, but not if XP or Vista (presuming you don't have a way older version). Since you are saying "recovery" I'm going to presume Vista, since MS stopped shipping install disk after XP.

It's been 4 days, so I presume you are not still stuck in recovery mode, and can boot into Windows?

If so, try the free virus scan, reg fixer, etc from Microsoft at:
for XP: http://onecare.live.com/site/en-us/default.htm
for Vista: http://onecare.live.com/site/en-us/center/whatsnew.htm
(I was a beta tester for this, before it went public).

If you can't get into Windows (even safe mode) you will probably need to find someone with the install DVD (if it's Vista). Since it sounds as if there is either a problem with your recovery drive or a corruption of the recovery software/files itself.

Laptop system

Hi
Well this is a problem if you didn't make a factory disk nor backed up the system configurations then only thing that will work is to reinstall the operating system. Here is a trick that Acer will never tell you
press the on button and imedetly press ALT + F10 in this order ALT + F10 - ALT + F10 until it goes into recovery mode all the Acers that has 2 partitions have the recovery mode then click on recover to factory defult this will load the factory operating system + driversand applications
kind regards  Mervinh
