Question about Kenwood Audio Players & Recorders
We have a Kenwood AM/FM Receiver model KRX-792. For a long time it would just shut off and we could turn it back on. Now it comes on but there is no sound from the speakers and the Tuner light continues to flash. Could this be a fuse problem?

Needs to be reset or fuse blown. Take to repair shop, cover has to be taken off and fuse replaced. You could fix it yourself but the warranty won't be honored. Do it yourself electronic shop should have a replacement fuse, may have to be soldered in place. Repair shop, should cost around $30.00 to $45.00 to fix, price of fuse $4.00 to $6.00. Your choice.

The above describes my same issue w/ my JVC RX-9010 receiver.
How do you determine if a transistor is bad? What equipment besides an analog multimeter would I need? I am out of work so replacing this is not an option. I can solder as well so if I can ID the transistor I gather I can repair this cheaply? Many Thanks!
