To store a number in a register, press SHIFT [STO] and then one of [A], [B], [C], [D], [X], or [Y] naming the register. To recall a number from a register, press RCL and then the name of the register.
There's also a register M. You can add to the value in M by pressing M+, subtract from the value by pressing SHIFT [M-], and recall from M by pressing ALPHA [M]. The key is just above the AC key.
Use the [a b/c] key to separate the elements of a fraction. To enter 1/2 : press 1, press [a b/c], then press 2
1/2+ 9/3 : 1[a b/c]2 + 9[a b/c] 3 [=] By the way, why do you keep 9/3 as a fraction when you can have it as an integer? Not that it makes a difference to the calculator.
Find on the calculator the [nPr] key either (you may have to use the [2nd] or [2ndF] key) then 1. Enter the number that corresponds to n eg. 18 2. Press the [nPr] key 3. Enter the number that corresponds to r eg. 5
Press MODE 4 to enter the BASE-N mode. If the display doesn't say Dec, press SHIFT DEC (the x^2 key) to set base 10. Enter the number to convert. Press SHIFT BIN (the log key) to switch to base 2.
Each time you switch the base the current value is redisplayed in that new base.
