SOURCE: Thermostat wiring from York air

Hi,
For a competent expert to be able to answer your problem, you will need to givea specific make and model of your unit.
Also include as much as possible about what you have already tried to do toresolve the problem along with exactly what is not working or what the unit isnot doing that it is supposed to do.
This will help us experts to be able to give you the correct advise the firsttime, without having to guess so much as to what is actually happening.

Thank you!

SOURCE: i have a ckL 36-1L

Hi, I can tell you how to wire it, but no diagram. Take the common wire from the compressor, look on the terminal cover or straight at the terminals and you will see C, R, and S. Wire colors vary. C is common on the capacitor, R goes to herm on the capacitor, and S goes to the load side of the contactor, or outlet side, to one of the un- used terminals on either side of 220 volts. That takes care of compressor, R, Run, S, Start, and C, for Common. Low voltage wires will be 2 -18gauge wires coming off each side of the coil on the contactor, connected to the 2-wires coming from your indoor unit, 24 volts. Your off and running unless its off on low pressure switch, and then it will start when you start adding freon.I hope I have been of help to you.

The furnace control on a York furnace is locking out due to unable to ignite flame

possibilities are many, no spark due to ng ignitor, if draft induced , fan not coing on or has blocked flue, if unit is condensing type might have condensate in drian line, if standing pilot type thermo couple bad so not sensing pilot. so you see not enough info of what type unit you have to help narrow down possibilities

York central ac keeps blowing 3amp fuse on the circuit board when the compressor kicks in. thermostat changed with no help. what's next

sounds like you have short in the low voltge side of the electrical circuit. I would check the thermostat wires outside at the condenser. look for any bare or exposed wires from where the wire comes from the house to the condenser. the thermostat wire will be a brown wire that is run on the outside which sends a signal to the contactor to make the condenser work. common cause his rodents or happens when weed whacking around condenser. Hope this get you started.

I have an old York outside compressor/coil/fan unit, CDHF36-6A, that I need to replace as it is no longer repairable. What is the capacity of this unit and what Carrier unit would be a good replacement?
