SOURCE: dripping faucet

Take a cloth and lay over the top of the stem so as not to damage it. With pliers, grasp the top of the stem and turn it a quarter turn counter clockwise. The stem should lift right out.

SOURCE: Faucet installed 9/94 and still looks like new.

Try tighten the hoses, if this don't work the seal in hose connectors may need replaced, very simple and cheap to replace. over time the hot water will wear down the seal it will go bad with pressure and water period. It's a good thing to change these all while you are there.

SOURCE: I had a dripping Kohler Finial kitchen faucet

Any bit of dirt or grit in the line will get caught in the cartridge if not flushed properly.

If there is a hole on the spout itself then you should go ahead and replace th.e whole faucet. This will save you both time and money in the long run

SOURCE: Hi, my shower faucet /head

You need to order seals and replace them. Typically, dirt in the water system damages the rubber (neoprene, plastic) soft parts. Sometimes the damage wrecks metal parts, but this is less common.

Faucet leaks. Replacing cartridge does not fix it.

Well let's go over the cartridge install. Did you flush out the valve body and clean any and all debris from the area before putting in the new one. If there were any sharp deposits of lime buildup they may have cut one of the O-rings or seals. Did you use plumbers lube on the O-rings and seal before installing the cartridge?

I ask all of this as you should not have this problem after a new install.

One other thing if the leak is only for a little while and then it stops, take off the aerator and clean it. If it is filled with debris it will hold water and drip for some time.

Hope this helps and good luck.

Kitchen facet has been losing water pressure.

Faucets are normally fitted with an aerator that screws on. These can get clogged with minerals from hard water and cause the problem you're having. Try unscrewing the aerator and removing it. It may be pretty tight, but it will come off. Slip-joint pliers with the jaws wrapped with vinyl tape to prevent scratching the chrome can help.

Once the aerator's off you'll probably find the water works properly. It might be possible to clean out the aerator, but the best solution is to get a replacement at a hardware store or big-box home improvement store. They're only a couple of dollars and a new one will be more reliable.

Please take a moment to rate this solution, and thanks for asking here!

Leaking faucet

The faucet is slowing wearing out. You can live with this little drip or have a repair kit installed in the faucet. If you are handy you can do this yourself.
You must be sure to get the repair kit that matches your faucet. good luck
