Video card on Acer Aspire 5610? enough to run slide show program?
I want to purchase a slide show program called PicturestoExec but I'm not sure the video card specs. (128) are being met by my laptop an Acer aspire 5610. I can't seem to find the specs for the laptop and I don't want to purchase the software program if it won't run with the full
transition effect I'm looking for.

If the blue light does not come on by the camera, then just the program is running and not the camera, it takes one program and one driver to run the Crystal Eye.
Here is the link to both files, make sure you have them both installed. Click on the link > click on Notebooks > click on Aspire > click on 5610 > download noth camera downloads > one is a driver, the other is the software.

Hi Please make sure the video card driver is updated and also the Bios. ftp://ftp.work.acer-euro.com/notebook/aspire_4530/vista/Bios/ Make sure the ac adapter is connected to the system while you are doing the bios update. ftp://ftp.work.acer-euro.com/notebook/aspire_4530/vista/Drivers/VGA_NV_(7.15.11.7566_logo).zip ftp://ftp.work.acer-euro.com/notebook/aspire_4530/vista/Drivers/Chipset_NV_v.(17.05_logo).zip Update these drivers and let me know if it does not work. Also please post the system requirements for your games so that I could check whether this laptop will be able to run these games. Also would like to know do u have an integrated video card or a discrete video card. This is very important when you are trying to play games.

You are on the right page, the video memory(VRAM) is located directly on the video card, which means you have to replace the whole card. The good news is they are pretty easy to install. Make sure you check the spec of your card and get the right socket, AGP or PCI. When you look at the slot on your motherboard if the video card is plugged onto a brown slot it is AGP, if it is a white slot it is PCI.
Thank you. That was very helpful. Very much appreciated.
