Cant connect!

hook up all the wires correctly, then unplug the power cords from the modem and the router. Wait 30 seconds. Plug the power cord into the modem, wait till the top 4 lights are solid green, then plug in the router. The router should now assign IPs to the computers connected. You should now be online, assuming you are not connecting wirelessly at this point.
There is no reason to wait 5 minutes when power cycling the modem or router.

- Try to power cycle the Motorola modem and the router for 5 minutes.
- After 5, turn On first the modem, make sure all the lights of the modem are stable before plug in the router.
- If this procedure doesn't work then I suggest that you might need to update the firmware of your router.
