My speakers are very quite, crackle and hum

My speakers which i just brought yesterday havnt work right yet. I tried playing my ipod touch on them also my laptop, turn the ipod on max then slowly turned the speakers up, when i get near max they are still quite and the speakers crackle loudly. To make the speakers work i have to leave the main speaker turned on then pull the wall plug out then wait till they turn off then plug it back in and it makes a very loud humming, then speakers will work for about 20 seconds with the loud humming still going then will cut out and go quite again. Can someone help me please??!!

SOURCE: Sudden crackles in the right surround speaker!

Your speaker is busted. You will need to get another one. It really can not be repaired and if it can, it will cost more than a new speaker.

SOURCE: My Logitech Z523 Speakers make a loud humming

Mine did the same thing then I found the solution by accident. After reading a post about moving the sub to different positions and making sure connections were tight to the sub , I loosened the right speaker connection screws to the sub and noticed the humming stopped completely . I know it sounds crazy but it worked for me.

SOURCE: My speakers wont play music

Check the connector jack at the back of your computer it might have a loose contact on it or not properly inserted to the connector.

This happened to me also. I couldn't figure out what was wrong so I brought it back to the store and they said it couldnt be fixed. Sorry but it look like you will have to get a new one, but they might give you your money back on this one depending on how long you had it for.

IPod Touch 4th Gen will dock. Will Charge. Can use remote control to play, and shuffle songs from iPod, but sounds will not come through speakers on Philips SBD8100 Speaker Dock for iPod and iPhone

Hi Sniper326,
try cleaning the input socket of the Philips Speakers with a cotton bud, try cleaning the socket of the Ipod touch cable as well.

Have you tried using the IPod touch with different speakers? and does it work? if so the problem lies with your Philips speakers.

I hope this helps, good luck!

My ipod touch internal speaker quit working today and a song will not even play until earphones are plugged in. can anyone help?

This sounds like a sensor problem. Best to consult your local Apple store and see what they say. Otherwise if you want to try backing everything up, then restoring the soft to the iPod and restoring the backup and that might fix it. (Note you will need to restore to the latest soft for the iPod Touch)

The internal speakers on my ipod touch don't work

As far as I know, the sound quality coming out of the ipod is not so great to begin with. I have an iPod touch, and the speaker I have right now was only $12.59 and the sound quality is great. plus I have my headphones from UxSight. They are amazing. Here is the link: iPod speakers

My ipod crackles and my hearing seems to be getting damaged

Id say you should go see a doctor. But for now id say that you should do your best to not listen to it for a while as it can affect hearing. try to use full on speakers if you can. On you tube there are a few Sub-Woofer sound tests you can do. Try playing one (low volume) and repeat. (not a song one)

http://www.teenbuzz.org/ also to hear which frequencies are out of range to you click here. ( click the second icon on the list further down the page)

But yeah go see a doctor. Perhaps some ear drops.

Cannot play external speakers

Try firmly pressing the iPod into the dock connector. If it works, good. If it doesn't, then your iPod may not have support for the speakers.

Crackling and popping sounds in surround sound speakers

Could be your head unit or the connection to the speaker may be bad. Also if the wire to the speakers in your ceiling is bare and touching any ground it would interfere. Start by checking connections by playing something and messing with wires. Listen for a difference. Next check by putting the wires that power those speakers in a known working output and listen for different quality

SoundDock produces only harsh crackling sound

Yeah i had that same problem. You know the chord? The cord you plug in from outlet. The square cord you plug into your speakers.. yeah the "DC outlet" is supposed to be UP. if you have it the wrong way in there it wont work and will make a crackling sound.
