Question about Sony VAIO Computers & Internet
My Sony VAIO PCG7D2L laptop is having a problem. The LCD display is too dim. Adjusting it with the function button doesn't help but I can see the gauge in the dark display it's working but it's not getting bright or getting darker when pressing it. I ordered a new LCD and installed it because thought it needs a new LCD but the problem is still there in the new LCD. Can you please help me. Thanks.

To enable the Fn keys functionality, you need to install the "Vaio Event Service" and "Sony Utility Series"
They are available to download as part of a package from the Sony website. Here is the link:

Go to the Sony web site. Go to support, and download drivers for the hotkeys. It sounds like the upgrade did not pick up all of the OEM features.
