Question about Computers & Internet
My Compaq CQ58 laptop won't stop doing this:( I just need a solution to it if there is one available! I have tried taking out the battery and holding down the power button and it still doesn't work:/ HELP?:(
2 reasons from what I can see in the video.
1. LCD screen is cracked
2. Graphics Processing Chip has overheated causing the display to malfunction. I have a youtube video on a desktop computer that I had repaired with the same problem CLICK HERE for the video.

Sounds like the battery is in trouble (discharged) or the charger is bad. If you have access to a voltmeter, read the voltage across the power cable plug with the pack plugged into the house outlet socket. Does a lamp work when plugged into the same socket? If the pack checks ok, then the battery may not be able to receive charge. Have it checked by a dealer.

Your power adapter my be loose on the motherboard which would require soldering it back on.
To confirm if this is your problem plug your laptop in and press the cord in and press the power button continuously if it powers on thats your problem.
When pressing the cord in it may take a couple of different angles before you find the right one so press it in if that don't work press it in and lean on the left, then to the right, up, down etc.
I am experiencing this problem right now I have clamped my cord for a temporary fix.

I'm sorry to say this sounds like a system board failure. On my HP DV200t, a very similiar issue occured, eventually only the led where you plug in the power cord would turn blue. I replaced the system board and all the issues went away.
Hope this helps, and I am sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

Tturn on your computer, then, before the windows boot screen appears, press the F8 key, this should bring up the start options , if it does not, turn off , turn back on and try again.
On the start options use the up/down arrows on keyboard to select "last known good configuration", press the enter key. Windows should start as normal if it does not do the process again but instead select "safemode" .
