On my daughter's computer, we got the router working for the main pc, but when we try and connect a second one, it says not connected...but I took that tower home with me and it connects to my server just fine, I also have a router...anyway, I took the cable off the working pc and swapped it for the one on the second pc, and the cable works, so now I'm confused...I know the card is working..so what's left.

I did try a different port, no connection. I didn't try the working port with the second computer, it's worth a try.

Did you try a different port on the router?
Did you try the working port with the second computer?
This sounds like a defective router, but I'd run the setup program again t be sure.
