Have the battery full charge? sometime the battery is not charged although the charging indicator is full charge, maybe the battery is shorted out.

SOURCE: My Nikon coolpix l810 will not connect to my windows 7 computer

Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Nikon Transfer or Picasa.

Nikon coolpix l810 lens frozen

hello,do remove your battery, have it checked by a precision instrument to ascertain the state of charge, also have it what is known as 'dropped' checked (place a heavy current draw to establish the conditions of the cells)as simply putting a voltmeter across, does not stress the cells enough, this is the most common complaint,do also check the conditions of the connecting terminals to the battery, substitute with a known good battery/and vice versa with your battery on to another appliance with an identical power rating.hope that helps, cheers

My L200 samsung camara is frozen and the lens are stuck out

I had the same problem - and wondered if if might be that the battery didn't have enough 'grunt' to close the lense - so I am charging it via the actual charger (rather than through the computer) and sure enough, I turned it on and then off, and the lense closed. The green light comes on when I plug the camera into the computer to download photos, and I thought this was therefore charging the battery, but maybe it doesn't charge it properly. Anyway, my lense is now closed and the battery is still charging (light is still red). Good luck.
