Question about Televison & Video
Plz help my Samsung 50" rear projection tv turned off so I changed fuse in plug tried again it clicked then blew fuse in plug.
Please understand, that if a fuse must bow up, there must be a reason. Without recitfying that reason, if we put an other fuse, you've already did it, will make things worse. There are mainly two reasons for failure of fuse. A short circuit, and an over load. It will be best for your to contact any service technician in this case. Do not put an other fuse and make an experiment.

Although I am not incredibly familiar with your model, There is most likely a small board mounted above the others near the crts, there is a small red connector with a blue wire if you unhook it it will remove power from the convergence IC's and if they are shorted it might come up with conv out, will need a new module.

SOURCE: sony projection tv no power
I purchased a service manual for $16.99 from ServiceManual.net. I downloaded the manual. Read it and you have to make note of how many times the power LED blinks red. My 55" Wega was blinking 6 times then pause then repeat.
The manual indicated it was a "Low B error, No "DD 6V" output ( G1 Board) No picture/No Sound.
The manual gave me instuctions on how to remove the G1 Board. I took it out and clean off the dust reseated the G1 Board, still the same problem. I order an new G1 Board, part# A-1060-177-A from the "Partstore.com" for $186.25
Problem is fixed and I save $350 on service call.

I have the same problem. I had someone come look at it and he showed me the problem but a terrible price, so i didnt have it fixed. The reason the light blinks is there is a problem and the safety mech is kicked in which shuts the TV off. If you take the back of the TV off, about 15 screws, you will see right in the front on the left side a part shaped like the letter "C". The number on top of mine is S5 19 2. That is the part that needs to be replaced. Now to find the part on the internet and figure out how to change it out. any suggestions?
