Try running vinegar through it. This helps to demineralize it. Once it's clean, put salt in it to create more steam.

SOURCE: just stopped giving mist

Depending upon the hardness of your water supply, humidifiers sometime have to be "primed" to get them going. This information should be contained in the instructions for use

My diffuser will not mist. The lights are on and it is running fine otherwise. What is the problem?

Did you use distilled water ?

Ours called for distilled water to work correctly, we used tap water and it worked for the first few times. then started making noise and then stopped.

Started using RO water, (like distilled) and started working again.

Forget the visually appealing white mist humidifiers that leave you with a white slime to clean up. Get yourself a warm mist humidifier without the hassle, works better and no mess to clean up!

I WAS GIVEN THE COW HUMIDIFIER AS A GIFT WHICH WAS A HAND ME DOWN AND I DONT KNOW HOW TO WORK IT.. PLEASE HELP

Hi, Looks like this should be easy to operate. These are the only directions I found for this humidifier: This Crane humidifier operates with cold tap water. Just fill the 1 gallon tank in the sink (fits most common sized sinks) and switch the unit on. The Cow Humidifier will produce cold mist instantanously. The mist output can be regulated with the control button located at the front.
Hope this helps! Hal

No mist

i would try cleaning the coils for the heat portion. if they are to scally that could be one reason why it's not making any mist. but if it looks pretty clean or if you have cleaned it and it's still not making any mist then it's something internal. now if your under warranty still that's a good thing. you can always call the manufacturer and they can replace theunit for you under warranty . if you have any other questions please let me know.

No mist!

unfortunately on a cool mist unit the mist shouldn't show up. on most units that's what it does. the warm mist units show the mist.. the best way to tell is if you put your hand over the spout that the mist is suppose to come out of for about 2 minutes and you pull it away and it feel clammy then it's working. if your hand is still dry please let me know and i'll see what else i can do for you.
