If it's installers correctly , reseat it and verify. Try unplugging the machine for a few minutes. Did you try to reset the Time in BIOS?

SOURCE: Alert! system battery voltage is

Dell claims the problem is caused by some surge suppressors - and that you can eliminate it by removing the surge suppressor and plugging the PC directly into the wall outlet. Call Tech Support and have them send you a battery, or look in the system docuemtation and go to Radio Shack and get a new one if you are in a hurry.

The battery message means you need to change the battery on the motherboard, it looks like a coin about the size of a nickel. Which fan is malfunctioning, the power supply fan, the case fan, or the processor fan?

How do I replace the battery in a first alert FA120C system? The system beeps every 40 seconds.

Hi Nzingha. Check your mail panel, it should show which zone has got a battery problem, if no zone is shown, it is the main backup battery that is low, this should charge all the time while mains is available so it will only happen if the standby battery has a problem.

When you have determined which sensor has a low battery, use a flat screw driver, look for the small slit/indent and lift the front side from the rear to open. You should be able to see the batteries then, replace with the same making sure about the polarity when reinserting the new ones. Some sensors also have a pushbutton that you have to press when all batteries are out to reset the sensor. Hope this helps, see attached manual.;s%20Manual.pdf

My dell demension E521 is giving me a "alert system battery low" message. Any suggestions?

Check the batteries voltage and check to see if the battery is being supplied charge voltage when the computer is off. If both these are good then your low battery message is in error. No charge voltage would mean faulty charger and low battery voltage would mean faulty battery.

Have a Dell XPS 600 problem. I am getting a message when I turn on the computer, "Keyboard Failure Alert! System battery voltage is low. Strike the F1 key to continue, F2 to run setup utility." What should...

If you have another keyboard try swapping it out and see if it reads the new one. Also a stuck key could possibly cause this error. System battery message probably means you need a new battery for the motherboard. If you replace the battery get the new one before removing the old one. If you leave it out too long you can clear the CMOS

Acer Laptop ,Battery flat,Charging Light only comes on Briefly then nothing, If i take battery out Laptop boots up,but only if I take battery off..thanks

yeap....itz the main/mother board..
do it only if u r a professional..
disconnect ur system from power the cabinet..
replace the cmos battery (+3v; type: 2032 probably) on the main/mother board..connect to the power n boot, enter into cmos setup utility (by briskly pressing DEL/F1/F2/F10 as applicable)..set the time n exit n restart..see if itz rectified..
if not probably the board is damaged, if u r a professional check the capacitors(above 1000mfd) n mosfets, check for the circuitry around south-bridge..
contact ur system admin/vendor....

Hard drive has been wiped trying to re boot from windows xp cd. changed battery on mother board. getting alert low battery voltage and pc will not re boot. asking re boot trying pressing F1

It sounds like you either got a bad battery or one that is not compatible with your motherboard. Try replacing with a new battery that is compatible with your mb & see if this corrects the error. If you just bought the other battery you are using you should be able to get a refund or store credit towards the new one. Also make sure all the cables are properly seated as one may have come lose during original replacement. Hope this helps.
