Model MBF2255KEW Refrigerator is not cooling. What are some things we can try to see if it will reset?

First, unplug the unit for 10 minutes to reset the electronics.
Second, replug and set controls to cold settings.
Third, if compressor is working you should hear noise to confirm.
4. Check fan is running efficiently with no noise. If not, replace fan motor and recheck.
5. Check damper control unit is working (see diagram in owners manual) if you have it handy or download it online from below.
Maytag Kitchen Laundry Home Appliances
6. If compressor is running, strange noises are heard, or unit shuts down after start-up, or fails to start, either the compressor has a leak resulting in a no pressure automatic shutdown or the electronic control unit is faulty.
Unfortunately, there is no quick fix for either and a Certified Repair Technician is required to either fix or generate a Warranty Replacement Claim.

The compressor of my split a/c stops working but will pick again after some time

If your A/c is non-inverter type, then its normal.
another cause of stopping compressors are due to high amperes comming in to the compressor. (power surge or high ampere)

have your unit cleaned first, then check the amperes from your compressor using a clamp ameter.

another cause is the starting assist (a small box-like thing beside the starting capacitor). this prevents your compressor from running even if it has to. you can by-pass that starting assist thing.

Why would my refrigerator stop cooling?

The first thing I would check is the compressor start device. It is usually a small white square box on the side of the compressor. Remove it and shake it if it rattles then it is usually bad. Replace this and the compressor should start up. If the compressor is not getting power then it could be the thermostat or the defrost timer or control. Check if the compressor fan is running this is controlled by the thermostat and defrost timer also. if it is running then check the start device.

I just bought a used Craftsman air compressor at a garage sale...100PSI, twin cylinder, 1HP motor. Model # 106.154440. Runs fine, but wondered how to check the oil level in the compressor case and if it...

I have a Sears 106.154581 most likely like yours. You will find a small plug (fill hole) and slightly larger plug on side of pump close to bottom (drain hole). Fill compressor with compressor oil to top thread of fill hole. Oil should look rather clear with very little odor. Compressor oil is available at Lowes for about $3. Good luck

Coil in freezer ice on top not on bottom

soundslike a "low charge" or inefficient compressor. defimalty a "sealed system repair" needed, nothing for a homeowner, and depending on age may not be worth costof repair, check your owners manual, you should have at least a 5yr warr.
