Refer Acer m3970 Can not Install windows 7 of new hard drive

Factory back-up discs and recovery discs are intended to repair defective installations or to kick-start an installation that refuses to start so it is unsurprising they will only go so far.

Your system disc might be defective. This is a problem I have had with XP in the past. It is possible your CD/DVD drive has a dusty lens and is unable to read the disc properly or perhaps the new hard drive has a problem.

I suggest you instal the new hard drive as a slave in another computer and format it and run the chkdsk utility. If all is well reinstal in your computer.

Take a close look at your system disc checking for flaws and perhaps put a lens cleaning disc in your CD/DVD reader before trying again.

My dvd player keeps saying 'incorrect disk' why? and what can i do to stop it?

I don't understand your problem.
Is it the TV or is it the DVD? You say you tried other dvds and the problem is still there. Looks like the TV is the problem. Sometimes it's hard to help people when they only mention on screen issues. How can first DVD say 'incorrect disk' and then another dvd, and another still say 'incorrect disk'? It just doesn't seem to make sense. Is the contents on the disk a computer recorded movie, film or home movie? If so, you have to record the film on the disk with a format that accept the DVD. Could the DVD be a Blu-Ray, can it play a number of video formats, DVD, DivX, KviD DVD, etc.? Try first with a purchased movie DVD disc, if it doesn't work, then the DVD is faulty. DVD players these days are meant to play a wide range of video format, including CD discs. If you have an old DVD player, you may not play latest discs. But if the DVD is incorporated with the TV, then you have to insert a new movie and see if it plays. Go to an appliance or TV DVD store and talk to them. Or you can purchase a new movie and insert it in. If it doesn't work, you can always return it. As you said, you've tried different DVDs, sounds like it is a separate DVD player. If so, try other movie discs. I get the same warning only when I insert discs with movies I recorded on my computer, such as Pinnacle video editor.

Digihome dvd not working

If it's a burned DVD or a CD, it might just be incompatible. Not every disc will work in the kind of older drives Digihome uses.

My loptop wont reboot at all i tried to reboot on its recovery disk but nothing happen

Try booting with a disc and see if you are able to go to the hard drive and then try again from the hard drive. If it works fine else try formatting but if you are able to go to the hard drive with by booting with a disc then take a backup of the data before formatting.

Hi I work at a school and have had several convergence machines refuse to boot up. It takes me to the "safe mode etc." option screen but then idlessays monitor sleeping then tries again to boot and goes...

that happens because you have operating system problems, even in safe mode go to the start menu and chose restore system to a previous date when the computer was working fine

OS partiton fails, resetup on NEW disc same problem

acronis seems at fault here.its better to keep one partion per harddrive.that way it is't jumping around as many times.use xp to do the partions and see if that works.also make sure *********** board can support the drives terrabyte capacity.also instead of useing the disk defragmenter built in xp use jk defrag it is alot better.you don't even have to install it just unzip and use.can even use off of a flashdrive.if you got any question feel free to email me at gamecrazy944@yahoo.com

External hard disc not accessible

hi there...if this thing happen to your external HDD you have virus in your external hdd. so the solution is connectthis external to your pc/notebook then if already detect by system don't try to explore it or else just click cancel if system ask at popup windows.
in windows explore at your exernal id double right clik and choose format with default allow size...wait for a minute ( depend how big the size of your external). and don't forget to close all program first (music etc) when you formatted.
about geeting your external data back you can use program Office Recovery.install it at your pc and you can backup your data using : office recovery--media heal for hard disk....
good luck
