Programmable Buttons? Hi, I'd like to know how to program the 2 extra buttons on the mouse. I've looked online for a driver or a software, but I can't come up with something. Thx.

How do i get the short cut buttons to work

Device downloads
Click the link to download the Manual and Drivers for the Microsoft Wireless Laser Desktop 4000.
The top row functions (Help, Undo, Redo, etc.) are on the same keys as F1, F2, etc. You toggle them with the "F Lock" button on the top right of the keyboard.
All the "extra" buttons will need the proper device driver to function entirely.

PS/2 compatible mouse error code 10

The generic mouse driver in your operating system should work, unless you want to use extra features specific to your mouse. Without knowing what version your operating system is, or the model of your mouse, the only thing I can tell you is to go the mouse manufacturer's website, look for the support link, then find and download the driver installer for your model of mouse (make sure you select the one for your operating system). Next, check your Add/Remove programs control panel (if you are running Windows) and remove any mouse-specific programs listed (the program publisher should be the company that made the mouse). Run the mouse driver installer and all should work again.

Will trackball model 64215 work on Windows 7?

The last operating system that allows a Kensington Expert Mouse 5.0 Model 64215 to work properly is Windows XP. Kensington refuses to update their MouseWorks software in order to make it compatible with Windows Vista or 7. The mouse WILL work, but only with basic functionality, i.e., no programmable buttons, and the pointer moves crazy slow...

ARE THE SIDE BUTTONS PROGRAMMABLE AND DOES THIS REQUIRE NEW DRIVER

As far as I can tell from the Dell website, this mouse does not have programmable buttons. Here is the link to the description for this product:
http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/products/I_O_Devices/productdetail.aspx?c=us&l=en&cs=19&sku=330-1171#Overview
It is listed as being compatible with the following systems:
Latitude 13 Latitude 2110 Latitude E5410 Latitude E5510 Optiplex 980 I wouldn't think it would require a new driver, as almost all mice are plug and play compatible with Windows.

This bluetooth 5 button mouse does have programmable buttons, but is about ten dollars more than the one you are asking about:

Greetings: I'm moving a marble mouse to a new computer. Previous setup had left small button perform the "back" function. I cannot remember how I programmed this. Please help...!

I believe you would have programmed the buttons with the driver software that SHOULD have come with the mouse. That would be your best bet. Look to see if the drivers installed a utility to program that mouse buttons.

Software for Logitech cordless mouseman won't install

MY RECOMMAND YOU TO GO ONLINE TO:

FIND TECHN SUPPORT OR THE DRIVERS SECTION AND FIND THE MOUSE DRIVERS AND DOWNLOAD NEW DRIVERS.

*****************************************************8
*************IMPORANT*************************

REMOVE ANY MOUSE DRIVERS, LOGITECH OLD ONE AND ANY MICROSOFT ALSO

GO INTO CONTROL PANEL TO PROGRAMS AND FEATURES AND REMOVE ALL MOUSE DRIVERS AND REBOOT THE SYSTEM.

THEN RE INSTALL NEW DRIVERS AND REBOOT..

ALSO CHECK THE POWER SOURCE OR REPLACE THE BATTERIES BEFORE REINSTALLING THE NEW DRIVERS

THE LAST THING IS TO PUSH ON THE RESET BUTTON ON THE BUTTOM OF THE MOUSE IF IT HAS ONE
UNTIL THE COMPUTER SAYS IT HAS FOUND SOME NEW HARDWARE.

********************************************************

THE SOFTWARE YOU HAVE MAYBE OUT DATED AND WILL NOT WORK UNTIL YOU ACTIVATE IT BY GOING TO THE WEB SITE AND THAN IT WILL ASK YOU IF YOU WANT TO UPDATE.

DRIVERS ARE CORRUPTED SOME HOW AND UNREADABLE
