No because the graphics card/chip is built-in on the motherboard. The graphics card uses shared RAM and you maybe able to increase the amount of video RAM in the BIOS setting but this will reduce the main RAM by the same amount.

Yes, you can install XP on it, No, you can't "keep" the drivers..
You can download the XP drivers right from
Acer. Just choose drivers & downloads, notebooks, then the Aspire 3690 series.

The Aspire 5000 actually has a 128mb video card. i am using one right now as a matter of fact. Reboot your acer. when you see the acer logo. press F2 once into the bios screen move to the next tab. High light the 64mb next to the video adaptor and high light 128mb.
