SOUNDS LIKE THE CLUTCH FRICTION PLATTE NEEDS REPLACING - YOU MIGHT BE LUCKY THOUGH AS SOME OF THE RENAULTS HAD A CLUTCH CABLE WHICH MAY HAVE BROKEN OR BEEN OVER STRETCHED, THIS IS A MUCH CHEAPER AND EASIER JOB TO DO & ANY COMPETENT PERSON CAN CHANGE IT

MY AUTO BOX ON MY LAGUNA 3.0 SLIPS FROM PULLAWAY WHEN DRIVEING

if its slipping when pulling off, or under load this most likely is the forward clutch pack, however on earlier boxes up to around 2000/2001 these are not sealed units and having the oil and gearbox filter changed may help remedy for some time, but this is usually a sign off gearbox failure coming soon.

How to remove the starter motor from a renault laguna

dissconnect battery first. the starter motor is connected to the gearbox facing into the flywheel you need to remove any connecthions that are on the back of it then remove the bolts that go through it that hold it on give it a little shake and it should come off.

Car radio code

I had a Laguna before the gearbox packed up. Nice car but a really bad gearbox. My radio was the same. What I used to do to get it going again was disconnect the battery and thereby power it down completely. After I reconnected the battery it allowed me to reenter the code as described in the radio manual.
Happy listening, with the radio on you wont hear the gearbox tearing itself to pieces.
