Scroll not working

My scroll on the mouse pad. I have a Windows 8 setting Gateway NE56R41u and the scroll pad was working yesterday but is no longer working and it has been malfunctioning at random intervals for short periods of time. It has been hours and the scroll has not started working again, the last time it only took a few minutes to start working!

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

SOURCE: my gateway scroll wont wor9

Scroll on mouse pad may not be a "default" factory setting. Go to Control Panel and access Mouse Settings and look for this feature and activate it.

If this does not work then go to Gateway Website and look for SOFTWARE AND DRIVER DOWNLOADS ., Select your model and Operating System and look for MOUSE. Select Moust Driver Download and RUN and reinstall driver.

If both do not work than your mouse pad has to be replaced due to physical issue

Fix scrolling touch pad

Do you use Synaptics or a similar add-on for Windows? Then go to Start>Control Panel[Large/Small Icons]>Mouse>Last tab to right and double-click your touch pad in the upper list, and you will be presented with a plethora of settings for your touch pad. Scrolling should be one of them. Mack sure your desired options are checked, and click Apply or OK on that window to save those settings. Then click OK on the Mouse properties to exit.

Touch pad scroll is not working

The reason why your cursor is jumping all over the screen is because you are touching it by mistake with your thumb or hand somehow. You can turn the sensitivity down ans set two finger scroll (and other options) for your touchpad - go to control panel > mouse > device settings >

If you do not have device settings, you need to download the official drivers and software to enable all features. The driver you have is probably the default win 8 generic one. Let me know the model number of your laptop and I can help.
