Question about Canon VIXIA HF M30 High Definition Flash Media AVC Camcorder

1 Answer

White Screen then Black screen death

I was shooting with my Canon and turn the LCD screen as I tried to do a selfie, the screen went all white, then after about 5 minutes, all black. Can't get an image now. WTF? all I did was twist it the way it is supposed to be twisted.

SOURCE: camera problem

CCD sensor faulty and has to be replaced. Manufacturer will probably repair free of charge even if the camera is out of warranty. Worst case insist on paying only labor to have new CCD block installed ( not expensive : +- 1 hour for trained technician ).

SOURCE: LCD SCREEN

Do you have a picture showing in the viewfinder when the LCD is closed? If not, it's a bad CCD and I believe Canon will fix that for free if you call customer service.

SOURCE: guys pls help me with

This is usually caused by a defective CCD image sensor. This will require disassembling the camera and removing the lens assembly to repair and can be done fairly inexpensively. However, it's not really a user serviceable problem and will need to be repaired qualified service technician.

My name is Rick and I'm a professional repair technician with over 20 years in the business and have repaired many of these.
