Question about Dell A920 InkJet Printer
The computer says that my black ink cartridge is half full, and that my full color cartride is fine. But when I go to print, the page feeds through and the printer acts as if it is printing, but the page comes out blank. I run a test page, and the only thing I used to get is a page of blurry chopped up magenta lines. Any help is appreciated...

the printers are set to do this so you will buy there own brand but there is a way to reset the printer so it will work, I"m not exactly sure how, I'm trying to find that out myself. if you ask at the place that refills your cartridges they might be able to tell you

Go to printers and faxes folder, right click the printer and go to 'printer preferences'. under preferences go to advanced tab and click on button "more options". uncheck the box that says "use color cartridge to print all black. Click Apply and then OK.
that should resolve the problem if your printer feeds paper through and prints nothing on it, yet it prints when you copy or scan something.

If this is a new printer have you removed the sealing tabs inside it.
May be caused by bad drivers. Check the vendoes site for the latest drivers for your operating system and see how it goes.
Did it previously work and after swapping something start failing?

Well, Yeah mine did the same thing!!
And I got soooo fusy! and etc. But yeah okay go to the manul script and look for the ink Number then once you find the ink number go and buy the ink that has the same number of ink as yours!
Once you get home replace it with the others.
BUY THE BLACK INK! not the TRI-COLOR!
