Question about Remington PowerMower 17-Inch 60-Volt Cordless/Corded Electric Combination Lawn Mower
I bought a new set of 5 replacement batteries for the mower and they will not take a charge. How do I test for charger problems? I use the mower connected to an electrical cord but would like the portablility of cordless in some areas.

SOURCE: batter life in the second season
When batteries are only used seasonally, and they are stored, they can become damaged from weather or from storing them when they are not fully charged. In general, batteries used seasonally will have a shorter lifespan, so it sounds like you likely need a new battery. Check out http://www.batteryinternational.com/electric-lawn-maintenance-batteries.html for a replacement, and be sure to charge it fully before storing.
