Question about Water Dispensing & Filtration
I have a Culligan mark 50 water softener system. It worked great until just recently. I went through the Controller/timer and it still does not cycle properly. Is there a newer controller/timer that I can get and install that is compatible w/ the rest of my system? If so what model and make? Thanks, John
These valves are now obsolete and the tank fittings are not compatible with any other manufacturer. Sorry to say it,s time to replace it!

It sounds like your salt in your salt compartment is stuck. Poor about a couple of gallons of hot water on top of your salt and see if that will break it up and fall down to the bottom of your salt container. Then regenerate your softener after about 3 hours have gone by. You should be back in business.

There is a problem with the piston/seal pack assembly pack in the valve. The seals get worn or some debris gets stuck and causes softener to run to the drain. The seal pack assembly needs to be replaced. If you are handy, you can do this. It takes about 1/2 hour for a novice.
Parts are only available from Culligan.
